Father's Day is almost here. Father's new and old are honored. My father past away several years ago and at this time I always remember and reminisce about the things he taught me. My father was a very stoic man who showed emotions very rarely. He got mad at me once in high school because I was excited about a certain boy asking me out. ( Looking back I must have been crazy.)
But when it really mattered my father exhibited the best of emotions. Joy!!!

When I was pregnant with my first child my parents planned to come visit and be at our home in Oregon for the birth of the baby. They were to be called and then they would drive from Arizona to the Pacific Northwest. Well my father, Bernie and my mother showed up at our house the day before I was due because my father was so excited to see the new baby he just could not wait. He was so cute because he could not contain his excitement. Perhaps he had mellowed with age. Precious Amber was not their first grandchild but it had been 18 years since the birth of their first grandchild. And it was my first child!!

Well my father was not a drinking man but in his later years his doctor recommended he drink a can of beer each day to help put on some weight. Dad had always been rather slight in build and had no body fat. To help build up some weight the beer was suppose to help. So to commemorate my father here is some Beer Soap. http://shop.apricotsboutique.com/Beer-Soaps
